My Momma's Papa Charlie and my Daddy's Sally Sue There's nothing in this world gonna change my attitude I'll call Uncle Billy, he's built like an ox There's a hen in the wolfhouse who got herself a cock Das Moose My sister's down on Temple gonna catch herself a bus visit cousin Katie and exercise their lust there's sizzle in your monkey there's a bully in your bag if you fetch it down on Mobile then you'll fetch yourself a shag Das Moose Daddy Sally Sue he leaves it hanging out loose He don't like the bulls he's just trying to find a moose And Momma popped her Charlie with the neighbor down the street When he slaps his leg Momma run and take her seat Das Moose My chariot rolls across this pin cushioned sky While Daddy Sally Sue's out looking for his guy Don't tell me to stay in after dark There's a hellfire coming, shake your beastly art Das Moose After 10 o'clock down at Wilson Park You'll find yourself in drag thumbing down a car If you catch down on the receiving end Then put it up in pigtails and a cha-cha grin Das Moose Follow Uncle John to Chazz Liqour store That's a side of Bama you need to explore Fleetwood Mac on Little Puppy's radio Shake shake shake, shake a tail feather Das Moose

I'm going to take my baby down I'm going to take my baby 'round I'm going to take my baby down To the places that I go I'm going to show her colors I'm going to show her light I'll carve out her brains With my fingers and my toes The night will be my bubble The night will be my shield I will tear down the covers and the colors will be revealed I'll turn nightmare into bone Turn red smoke into a stone I'll bring sleep unto the battlefield as her tongue unbinds a winged moan There are many lampless streets Lined with chains and broken feet Watch your back and be discreet These are the places that I go The night is tossed with salt It rains brine and it rains Baal You've reached the mother load of horrors These are the places that I go The demon babies are rolling and the moss is made of men and in all these nooks and cracks are the places that I go When the black ice rivers Rise up and overflow You will find my heart an ember Amongst the places that I go

In this city of fools And thieves and decent folks Where do I go When I need a place to go I'll see you in our dreams Above all of these plastic street Made for decent folks When you need a place to go Hold on tight to my hand Put your ear up to this can And listen very close When you need a place to go

I'll take a butcher knife and cut off my head Send you an email says my body is dead You want me to love you but you, you gotta love me, too I'll put holes in my hand and a bullet into my brain So you can say your saviour's come and gone again You want me to love you but you, you gotta love me, too I'll pull up my bootstraps and pack up my case I'll light a fire, babe, and burn off my face You want me to love you but you, you gotta love me, too I'll find the strongest wind and fly off this rock I'll leave behind a text message says lock, stock, and teardrop You want me to love you but you, you gotta love me, too I'll grow wings from my back and grow out my stinger Peel the skin from my body, babe, and pull off my fingers You want me to love you but you, you gotta love me, too The moral of this tale is to do unto others Insects can fly, babe, and monkeys eat their brothers You want me to love you but you, you gotta love me, too

All I Got's my mattress on the floor Oh baby my cock don't need you no more Bottles of pills and the powders and shrooms Oh my lord Jesus you'll need a really big broom Oh yeah Hey It's about time Gonna lose my mind Sitting in my basement snorting lines of cocaine My life's in a spin just trying to kill the pain Girls ain't calling been a terrible year It's either starvation or thanksgiving, my dear Empty beer cans collecting by the door Don't think I can afford no more Looks like it's gonna be a pretty shitty day If I was you, man, I'd stay away

In my mind I see a space, in my mind I see a space Far as I can see in that space there's no room for me I'm gonna wade in the water until my blood has washed away The stars they look down on me, the stars they look down on me Since I's a child I can feel the stars pushing down on me I'm gonna wade in the water until my bones have all washed away And the childs they all gathered around, and my family they all gathered around I said farewell God's abandoned me, advert your eyes I'm gonna wade in the water until my soul has washed away God Don't You Trouble My Body No More Gonna wade in the water, gonna wade in the water child Gonna wade in the water, gonna wade in the water until my blood has all washed clean Gonna wade in the water, gonna wade in the water child Gonna wade in the water, gonna wade in the water until my soul has all washed clean And God don't you trouble my body no more

about

Before COVID Red Mouth and his band went on a few final tours before Red quit the road to work on some physical and mental health. This recording was recorded by a fan at The Jinx in Savannah, GA. This is the only, and definitely most complete, document of what was Red's most 'classic' backing band, Coke Mirror. Jason Hall on bass, Nathan Pitts on guitar, Alexander and Micheal Bowling on Saxophone and drums. Recorded by a wild and sweat man whom Red lost contact with unfortunately. Jason Hall took to the studio to listen, edit, and master this show the best he could. It's live, warts and all. Mistakes, technical issues, all the things we now miss about live shows, are here in all their glory. The band live could sometimes go on extended 'jams' that had less to do with athletics, and everything to do with mood and atmosphere. It's rock'n'roll brooding in only the way Red Mouth could deliver with his closest friends.

about

Red Mouth Muscle Shoals, Alabama

A strange brew of Son House, Captian Beefheart, Elvis and Nick Cave, backboned by stomping, driving Muscle Shoals rhythms. All resulting in a gospel experience through a gothic Alabama that your typical singer songwriters won't be guiding you anytime soon. ... more
